My name is Hussein, and Iā€™m a software engineer. Early in my career, about 20 years ago, I built backend and database applications without fully understanding their inner workings. When I faced performance issues, race condition bugs, and even data corruption, I was often left helpless.Ā
I resolved to truly understand how database systems work, ensuring that I understood every query from my application, how it was executed by the database, when to use a transaction, and when to make an operation an atomic query.Ā
From that day on, Iā€™ve been fascinated by developing a deep understanding of what happens behind the scenes in software, especially in backend engineering.
